Granulocyte transfusions to treat invasive aspergillosis in a patient with severe aplastic anemia awaiting mismatched HPC transplantation
This case illustrates that HLA alloimmunization can be a major complication of granulocyte transfusions, resulting in the development of donor-directed HLA antibodies. A previously compatible HPC component had to be discarded, necessitating collection of a second graft from a different donor (read more : free full text).
